About

I’m a chronic blog-mover – there’s always a URL out there that I like better, or I have some self-branding idea that I think is unique and clever and requires a complete overhaul of my online image. I realize the folly of this: image overhaul is good, complete wipeout of the old brand is bad.

This time it’s not exactly my fault. A wrong person found my blog and read a particularly personal post, and the fallout caused a lot of trouble for a good friend of mine. It seemed like a good time to start over.

Here we go again.

I’m a Midwest-based tech junkie who loves learning software from Dummies books. I’ve been blogging on and off since 2005, and this latest site was born in paranoia and therefore named after one of my favorite multipurpose interjectory phrases.

I’m not an especially social person sometimes, and while I love things like blogger and twitter meetups, I get pretty intimidated by meeting people – especially in a crowd. Once I know you, I’ll probably talk your ear off. I’ve made some fantastic friends in the blogosphere and it’s one of the reasons I can’t give up on my blog, no matter how much time passes between posts or how many times I pack up and move.

MORE?

I like turquoise-y colors. Could you tell?

My biological clock is ticking.

I bear down with the Chicago Bears.

I like things to be just different enough to be different, not so different that people are put off or weirded out. Just “hey, cool.” Example: I was getting a Wii and I got the red one instead of classic white. I just had to have the red one because IT IS RED AND NO ONE ELSE’S WII IS RED. But I’m not going to bedazzle it, you know? I’ll wear one flower in my hair, not a plant.

I love small cars. This is mine. I call it Toy Car.
